There’s a lot of poker strategy out there. Some of it’s free, some costs money but they all compete for your attention. Believe me; I know how much of a pain it can be sorting through all the garbage to find the good stuff.
When it comes to finding the good stuff, no limit cash games present the biggest challenge. Even though no limit cash games are incredibly popular, the strategy out there is tough to find.
I think the biggest problem with finding good no limit strategy resources is that the game is so difficult to write about. There are so many options, variables and table dynamics that very few authors get it right. Much to my surprise, I found one such author just last night.
His name is Wesley “SmackinYaUp” Burns and he created the Kill No Limit e-book and training kit to help poker players improve their skills in no limit holdem cash games. If you’ve followed my website for any length of time, you already know how skeptical I can be when it comes to poker training products.
Well, I downloaded this package with my usual skepticism but with the intention of giving it a fair review. After a quick glance at the table of contents, I almost stopped reading. The concepts looked too basic to be worthwhile.
But in the name of fairness, I continued reading – and I’m glad I did so. Seriously, I think I might have just found the next great poker tool. Like I said earlier, no limit cash games are hard to write about but SmackinYaUp writes amazingly clear and concise poker strategy.
I’ve seen it all before but some of the secrets in the e-book really caught my attention. The 4 Step Hand Reading chapter managed to break down the most complicated art in poker (hand reading in no limit holdem) into concrete, step-by-step instructions.
The e-book is realistic, fair and completely honest. It starts from the very beginning and will lead you by the hand from building a bankroll from scratch to identifying and exploiting your opponents’ mistakes.
Experienced players will probably want to skip the first couple chapters because this book really does start from the beginning. It even goes so far as to explain the rules of the game. The good news is that I found out the chapters were actually a lot more in-depth than I was led to believe by the table of contents.
I also found the rest of the package to be of the same quality. There are 5 instructional videos (about 2 and a half hours total) inside where you can watch two of his high stakes friends play poker online and listen to them as they explain what they are doing and why. It’s one thing to read the strategy but the videos really help cement the tactics in your mind.
In addition to the e-book and videos, there are three starting hand charts which I found to be pretty straightforward. They lean on the tight side of things so if you’re a newer player, you’ll find these useful. Experienced players might refer to the charts occasionally but they probably won’t use them nearly as often.
There is also a bankroll tracking spreadsheet that you can use to track your bankroll, keep session notes and calculate your hourly winrate. It’s a handy tool and very easy to use. All you have to do is type in your starting bankroll amount and fill out the results of each session you play.
At over 215 MBs in size, this e-book package is way bigger than almost every other poker training product out there:
Kill No Limit EBook
5 Poker Videos
Poker Odds Chart
3 Starting Hand Charts
Excel Bankroll Spreadsheet
Poker Odds Calculator
Guide that explains how to use the calculator
The one drawback to Kill No Limit is its price: $127. It’s not that I think this is an unfair price but it’s definitely pricier than most other e-books. If you have $127 available, however, I suggest you pick up the Kill No Limit Kit today. With everything you’ll learn from it, this thing will easily pay for itself many times over.
NOTE, THE AUTHOR HAS JUST CONTACTED ME SAYING HE HAS LOWERED THE PRICE TO $77 SO IT IS EVEN CHEAPER FOR YOU TO GET INVOLVED WITH KILL NO LIMIT
You can get a free preview and read more about it at www.KillNoLimit.com.

I have just been sent this good article by a reader of this new blog, thought I would post it here for everyone else. Thanks Jake!
Basketball can be one of the tougher sports to handicap for novices, most believe that teams will perform the same (good or bad) in each outing because there are no weather concerns like those that exist in football, while it is indeed true that each basketball contest takes place indoors, most fail to realize how hard it is to play a sting of back to back to back games and especially if travel is involved, in this article we will look at the various factors that must be considered when handicapping NBA hoops.
Certain principles hold true no matter what sport you are handicapping, for example, injuries play a key role in any sporting event but plays a much bigger role in the NBA because they only have five starters on the hardwood versus 22 total starters on an NFL team and also have much less depth on their overall roster, this means that you really need to know the injury situation and who the backup player is before making a wager on an NBA game.
Another consideration is where the game will be played, home court is a much larger factor in the NBA than in the NFL, this comes into play when the home team is listed as the doggie and the visiting team has injuries or is in the midst of a three game or more road trip, keep in mind that road weary teams have tired legs and tired legs lose games in the final minutes.
The NBA is similar to the NFL in that fans also double as gamblers, this means that certain teams have a public following that will place wagers on them no matter what the posted point spread is, usually this can be exploited when this public team is playing at home and laying a bushel full of points to a divisional rival.
Always remember to “Line shop” for the best possible number on your team of choice in order to better enhance your chances of a winning wager, also, beware of laying the hook with road favorites and especially when key numbers are involved, a key number in the NBA is defined as any number which is a multiple of two, the reason why of course is because a basket is worth two points.
Never forget that a winning gambler is a hard working gambler, its best to stay one step ahead of the betting public by being more prepared than they are, this means that you need to know about bad scheduling situations, team chemistry problems, and injury concerns before the public, the information is readily available to everyone but its really an issue of who will go the extra mile by doing the research.
